When you collect the vehicle, you have to provide the same credit card you used to book the vehicle.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept debit cards since their regulations do not meet our fuel guarantee policy. The cardholder must identify himself as the lessee or the “main driver” in the rental contract. This payment card must show the main driver as the cardholder and an expiration date after the vehicle return date. All the rental services are subject to a guarantee deposit when renting the car in order to cover additional charges that might occur during the rental period.
No country accepts pre-paid cards, gift or Diners cards. They cannot accept cash or check payments either.
For bookings made for Spain after the 16th of August 2018 and vehicle collection after the 16th of November 2018 and for France after the 20th of August and vehicle collection after the 2nd of October 2018, we accept debit cards as well as EC-Karte with the following conditions:
Customers will be charged the amount of the security deposit. It is essential that once the rental period is over, customers return to the collection office in order to be reimbursed the security deposit amount (as long as the vehicle is returned in good conditions or has not been involved in any accident, etc.)
Please, keep in mind that we cannot reimburse you if you don’t have the debit card with you. You can pay with one card (rental amount + fuel + extras) and charge the deposit to another card. For both instances the cardholder must be the same as the contract holder.
In the United Kingdom, American Express is accepted as long as the customer pays an extra 4 pounds for the booking.
Please keep in mind that due to the exchange rate and other possible non-Interrent related bank fees, the customer will be responsible for the possible fees that may apply for the charging or reimbursement of the previously mentioned security deposit.
Prior to the collection of the vehicle, we need you to present the following items at the counter:
- Your rental confirmation received by email.
- Full driving licence valid in the country of rental, and your ID Card / Passport.
The driving licence must have been issued by authorised authorities at least 12 months before the date of the collection. An international driving permit is also mandatory if your driving licence is written in a language different to the one of the country of rental and/or in characters that cannot be read or understood in such country.
Please note that the international driving permit is only valid if accompanied by your standard driving licence and it is only valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Some Licences are only valid in the country of issue e.g. India, so an International Driving Licence is required.
- A passport or ID.
- At pick-up time you must produce the same credit card used for the reservation (major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, are accepted). Unfortunately we are not able to accept debit cards as their rules may not be adapted to our security deposit policy.
The payment card holder must be identified as the renter or the "main driver” in the Rental Agreement. Such payment card must be in the main driver’s name and with an expiry date after the return date.
All rentals are subject to a security deposit at the time of rental to cover additional charges that may occur during the rental period.
Please note that if you fail to comply with the Rental Agreement and the relevant Rental Terms and Conditions or if you fail to produce mandatory documentation, an appropriate means of payment or the security deposit we will not be able to rent you the vehicle and you will not be refunded.
