- Theft Waiver / Theft Protection (TW / TP), which covers loss or damage to the rental vehicle for theft, attempted theft or vandalism up to the local excess amount as advised upon collection of the vehicle, and subject to your payment of the non waivable excess, depending on the country of rental and the vehicle category; and
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), which covers loss or damage to the rental vehicle (except for theft, attempted theft or vandalism) up to the local excess amount as advised upon collection of the vehicle and subject to your payment of the non waivable excess, depending on the country of rental and the vehicle category.
Please note that the above waivers are not insurance products, and only apply to the extent you comply during your rental with the Rental Agreement and the relevant Rental Terms and Conditions, and in particular the rules concerning the use and maintenance of the rented vehicle. Otherwise, you will be liable for the total amount of the claim in accordance with the Rental Agreement and the relevant Rental Terms and Conditions.
You can supplement the above coverage by buying additional optional insurances and waivers on the website or at the rental location, subject to specific local requirements set out in the Rental Agreement.
Those covers will fail if you take the vehicle cross border without our prior written consent as set out above.
